Pumpkin Seed Oil is a stunning deep earthy black forest green oil that has a unique roasted nutty aroma. The oil is one of the richest healing oils known. It contains Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, Vitamins A, C, E, and Zinc. The linoleic acid found in the oil is important for cell respiration: in particular it allows the skin to breath and helps prevent the mutation of skin cells. It is also a very effective anti-inflammatory agent and can alleviate pain associated with arthritis. Pumpkin Seed Oil has good moisturizing and lubricating properties, and can be used on all skin types and is especially good in combating fine lines and moisture loss. Due to its high vitamin and mineral content Pumpkin Seed Oil is considered extremely nourishing and can be added to face creams, lotions, bath oils, massage oils, soaps and for increased skin health and appearance. For a skin healing oil, combine Pumpkin Seed Oil with Calophyllum, Calendula Infused Oil or Neem Seed Oil. It would make an excellent base oil for ointments.
